Message To Our Shareholders

To the World, To the Future — To be a company that colors the world and the future with the power of our stories —

We deliver the stories we created ourselves to the world, aiming to color and enrich the future with the power of entertainment.

We sincerely appreciate your kind understand and support.

Established in 1951, we have continued to make film and video for over 70 year. The theatrical film business is our primary business, but we have flexibly changed our type of business to adapt to media transitions. We started to make TV shows once TV broadcasting started in Japan, and established a new entertainment genre called V-Cinema, in respose to the spread of home entertainment video wich enabled people to own video content by themselves.
Additionally, we started our video steaming business in early 2000. Now we provide most of our film and video archives on video streaming services, as well as making a lot of original streaming programs.

In 2023 we released The Toei Group's Medium-to Long-Term Vision TOEI NEW WAVE 2033 , and presented our growth strategies.
We recognize that our strengths lie in our planning and production capabilities, and in our multi-use approach.
Since our founding, we have continued to produce a diverse and captivating range of content across various media, using these creations to move our business forward. By securing the copyrights to our visual content, we have not only utilized them for their primary uses, such as theatrical screenings, television broadcasting and streaming, but have also built a business model that enhances the profitability of IP through secondary uses, such as use of broadcasting rights and streaming rights, merchandise, gaming, events and stage adaptations.

As part of our growth strategy, we will strengthen our planning and production capabilities and our ability to expand across multiple channels, broadening our business internationally beyond the domestic market, which has been our main focus.
We own the copyrights to more than 4,400 theatrical films and 39,000 episodes of drama productions, many of which are well known worldwide. The success of these works is due to their elaborate settings and development, or simply put, their “interestingness.” The demand for interesting stories transcends borders, and we have received numerous requests for remakes and reboots of our library works from overseas. We are now pursuing our strategy for global expansion by remaking well-established library titles with local staff and casts to create highly profitable IPs abroad.

We ask for our shareholders' continued support.
